FOR THE CHILDREN
As the new year begins, we are renewed in our journey. The student returns to an environment refreshed by a change of teacher, a move forward to a different classroom and new challenges in learning. There is anticipation that this year will be a rewarding one full of many wonderful new things to experience. As I pass my child(ren) on to a new teacher and a new classroom environment, what will I hope and trust they will enjoy each day?
I trust that my children will have teachers and teacher assistants who believe in them and have high hopes for them;
That they will have friends who will listen to their problems and that their school is a place of happiness for them;
That they can be curious and eager to learn;
That they can thrive in an environment which teaches them to love life and the blessings that God gives;
That they have adults who understand and remember that childhood problems are real and that they receive from them empathy and guidance;
That they have someone special who can gently lead them and act as a guide, a companion and an inspiration to them;
That they are encouraged to do the best that they are able;
That they have help and encouragement to be a servant leader, because responsibility and cooperation have been learned;
That they care for and protect the rights of others;
That my children may look forward to the future with hope and welcome the blessed opportunities for the fullness of life which their loving God wishes to shower on them.
Yes, my children are special and yes, I do want a lot for them! May God be with each of us, parents, students and staff members, as together we join in the journey, which has no end. May we all grow in the love and protection of the One who promises the tremendous gifts, which will mature through to eternity.
