Myelodysplastic Syndrome

Sickness and change come crashing into our life,

Circumstances are changed,

Time stands interrupted,

Normal routines disappear,

Replaced by the basic tasks,

Caring for each other,

Rest is taken as needed,

Each day is different,

Friends gather around,

Give encouragement and pray,

Our hope is built on nothing less

than Jesus blood and righteousness,

Human strength and power to control,

Have fallen away,

Certainty has disappeared,

Blood tests reveal new directions,

Each appointment brings treatment closer,

As preparation is made,

God gives us peace and calm,

We are shielded from eternal harm.
